About Daniel
Work
As Senior Copywriter and creative lead, Daniel is accustomed to leading junior teams of Copywriters and Art Directors, as well as freelancers. Additionally, Daniel has been responsible for interns, ensuring that their internship are as rewarding as possible, both at his Nord DDB and Volt.
As Senior Copywriter, he is used to being responsible for the creative work and tone of voice. Including develop communication concepts, campaigns, present ideas, participate in pitching for new clients, and workshops for clients.
Daniel has more than nine years of experience working with B2B and B2C, global campaigns, international brands and organizations.
Daniel have several awards in competitions, including the Swedish most prestigious award, The Golden Egg, as well as in international competitions such as Eurobest and Epica Awards.

Background & Career
At the age of fifteen Daniel Jakobsson left his Hometown in the middle of Sweden to go north and study at an alpine skiing school to pursuit a career in professional skiing. Five years later he was ranked 367th in the world in the discipline of slalom and received an athletic scholarship to study and ski at Sierra Nevada College, NV, US.
During his time in college his passion shifted after taking classes such as digital design, photography and creative writing. One year later he was studying Visual Communication at the renowned design school – Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm. After completing his studies at Beckmans Daniel continued his studies in Advertising —enrolling in Communication and Copywriting at Berghs School of Communication. Where he received a Diploma and won numerous international awards in competitions such as Eurobest, Clio and One Show.
After school ended Daniel was employed as a Copywriter (Creative) at one of the best agencies in Sweden at the time, Saatchi & Saatchi Stockholm. During his time at there he was given big responsibility and worked with both national and international accounts such as Polaroid Eyewear, Jordan (toothbrushes), Elmsta 3000 Horror Fest, Risifrutti and Gainomax.
In March 2017, after almost two years at Saatchi, Daniel joined the independent creative agency Volt in Stockholm. During his time at Volt he mostly worked with their biggest client – The Swedish Armed Forces, for which he also in total won three Silver Eggs in Sweden’s most prestigious awards in advertising – Guldägget.
After more than four years at Volt Daniel joined one of the top agencies in the Nordics, Nord DDB as a senior Copywriter. At DDB he was creatively responsible for one of the biggest resaler of electronic goods in the Nordics, Elkjøp. He also developed concepts and campaigns for clients such as Greenpeace, Plantagen, Hemnet the Swedish Brain Foundation and more.
During the late summer 2023 Daniel joined the independent creative agency New Normal as a senior Copywriter, where he worked with clients such as AP7, Hundstallet, Transportföretagen (Svenskt Näringsliv).
In January 2024, Daniel went on parental leave until August 2024, when he started studying furniture design at Malmstens, Linköping University.
Daniel is currently working as a freelance Copywriter and studying furniture design at Malmstens, Linköping University.
